Chamber Helps to Advance Education-to-Industry Efforts Through RISE Partnership

As part of its 2026 priorities, the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Regional Industry Support Enterprise (RISE) to strengthen connections between education and industry and ensure students are prepared for college and career success.

The Chamber participated last week in a regional working group that brings together educators, workforce leaders, nonprofits, economic developers, and employers to align curriculum, career pathways, and regional economic priorities. RISE’s education strategy emphasizes early career exposure, employer engagement, and hands-on, workforce-aligned learning experiences.

Last week, the group met to learn more about “Connect To Your Calling,” an interactive course led by three-time Grammy Award-winning musician and educator Coy Bowles. The program helps students explore purpose, build resilience, and develop real-world strategies for life beyond the classroom.

Through its involvement in RISE, the Chamber continues to champion workforce readiness and a strong talent pipeline for Coastal Georgia.
