15 New Honorary Commanders Named for 165th Airlift Wing, Air Dominance Center

Last week, the 165th Airlift Wing and Air Dominance Center welcomed fifteen new Honorary Commanders from throughout the Savannah region in a formal installation ceremony. Over the next two years, these civic and community leaders will act as ambassadors for the Airmen, sharing insights about their mission, dedication, and impact across Georgia and beyond.

During the event, outgoing Honorary Commander Bill Cathcart was honored for his years of service, so fondly that it was quipped it took all fifteen of his successors to fill his shoes! The new commanders will enjoy exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to base operations, forging valuable connections between our installation and the surrounding community.
