Ribbon Cutting for Savannah Celtic Tour
Please join Midnight Mist in cutting the ceremonial red ribbon to launch Savannah Celtic Tour on Friday, February 28th at the Celtic Cross Monument at Emmet Park. The first tour will take place on March 1st, St. David’s Day, the Patron Saint of Wales. Explore the making of Savannah through the lives of those from the Celtic nations of Ireland, Scotland and Wales. This tour has been compiled and researched by three guides (Brigid, Tanaya, and Dylan) who all bring their individual ancestries together to make this tour unique. Brigid’s family originates from Limerick in the Emerald Isle (Ireland), Tanaya’s descendants come from the land of the thistle (Scotland), and Dylan is from the land of the dragon (Wales). Whoever leads the tour will bring to life the stories and histories of those who helped build the city of Savannah. Tours will run during the daytime, each day of the week, in rain or shine. It starts at the Celtic Cross in Emmet Park and ends in Ellis Square. The Savannah Celtic Tour lasts a maximum of two hours. Tours can be booked online at www.historyandhaints.com.
