Mary’s Place Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire will host a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, October 22nd at 10 AM to commemorate the opening of our brand new “soft room” at the center. The “soft room” includes a newly renovated waiting room and examination room. These newly renovated spaces will better support survivors of sexual assault in our community. Mary’s Place provides a wide range of services to support survivors including telephone advocacy via our 24/7 crisis line, hospital accompaniment, survivor advocacy, support groups, and more. We provide resources and advocacy to over 500 survivors per year, and reach over 20,000 youth and young adults, with our prevention education programs. Mary’s Place is making a difference in many lives and will continue to address the problem of sexual assault in our community.
