The Forsyth Farmers’ Market will celebrate the grand opening of the new community garden at Savannah Gardens with a special ribbon cutting ceremony and garden party. At the ribbon cutting, Forsyth Farmers’ Market representatives will plant fall and winter crops, including lettuce, cabbage, garlic, and collard greens. This edible garden represents the Forsyth Farmers’ Market’s commitment to providing direct access to fresh, locally-grown produce for Savannah-area residents. The community garden will be accessible to all residents of the 484-unit Savannah Gardens housing complex. The ribbon cutting will bring together local businesses who contributed to the creation of this garden, including Under One Sun Creative Consulting, Code of Return Compost, C&K Custom Gutter Solutions, and Decks & Docks Lumber Company. Light refreshments and mocktails will be served.
