Please join the American Red Cross for a ribbon‑cutting ceremony on Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m., celebrating the grand opening of our newly remodeled Southeast Georgia Operations Center in Savannah – a transformative investment that will strengthen disaster response, blood services, and community support across the region. This newly renovated facility brings the regional chapter office, blood services, and disaster services under one roof, creating a unified, sustainable and accessible hub that will enhance service delivery while saving the organization more than $200,000 annually. This centralized, community-focused hub is designed to strengthen local volunteer engagement and significantly improve emergency response capabilities with rapid-deployment access for both personnel and equipment. The design emphasizes collaboration, efficiency and long‑term impact – helping the Red Cross respond to disasters faster and support local families when they need it most.
