Blessings in a Book Bag (BIBB), a Savannah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Weslyn 'Mahogany' Bowers in 2011, is dedicated to combating childhood hunger and supporting families in our community. Every Friday, BIBB provides nutritious food to over 130 at-need students and families at Otis Brock Elementary School and throughout Savannah, ensuring children have access to meals over the weekend when school resources are unavailable.

Beyond weekend hunger relief, Blessings in a Book Bag serves as a vital local pantry, offering essential food services to those in need. The organization also provides crucial support through school supplies, uniforms, and other necessities, allowing children to focus on their education and simply enjoy being kids, free from worry.
