About
The Arete model is a holistic journey of academic formation and personal growth, which empowers children to reach their highest potential.Through private contributions from corporate and philanthropic partners, Arete Scholars awards need-based K-12 scholarships and empowers parents to place their children in private schools that best suit their unique gifts and learning needs. Since 2010, our partners have helped us grant nearly 25,000 K-12 scholarships worth more than $100 million.
We currently operate under tax credit scholarship programs in Georgia and Louisiana. And in 2026, Arete Scholars is expanding to Alabama. Arete scholarship eligibility is based on the income guidelines for the federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program (FRL), and award amounts range from $4,500 to more than $5,500 per year.
During the 2025-2026 school year, there are 134 Savannah-area students on Arete Scholarships at 17 different schools.
Our family-focused, need-based approach is expanding access to high-quality educational options and is empowering parents to select a school that best cultivates their child's unique gifts and talents. The scholarships are helping transform the lives of those who face the greatest obstacles to academic and personal achievement.
