About

Brightside Child & Family Advocacy serves Chatham County's foster care community by strengthening families, preventing abuse and neglect, and supporting children and youth through moments of crisis and change. We believe every child deserves safety, stability, and the chance to thrive ' and every family deserves the support to make that possible.

We carry out this mission through three core programs:

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) ' Trained community volunteers advocate for the best interests of children in foster care, standing beside them through their time in the foster system.

The Bright House ' A supervised visitation center offering a safe, supportive space for children to maintain meaningful connections with their biological families, with the goal of future reunification.

Brighter Futures ' Each year, many youth in foster care turn 18 and age out of the system, often facing adulthood alone and at high risk for homelessness, incarceration, or trafficking. Brighter Futures provides case management, counseling, educational opportunities, job training, life skills, housing, and health support to help these young adults achieve independence and long-term success.
