LEADS Trip

The Savannah Area Chamber’s 2025 LEADS Intercity Trip to Nashville brought regional business and civic leaders together for a three‑day exploration of innovative approaches to redevelopment, workforce strategy, and community planning. The delegation began with a kickoff at Nissan Stadium, where they learned about Nashville’s East Bank redevelopment efforts before engaging in a fireside chat and tours at HCA Healthcare. The first day concluded with a signature “Books, Boots & Bourbon” welcome event that fostered meaningful networking among participants and featured presentations from both current and previous Nashville mayors.

Throughout the second day, attendees participated in focused panel discussions addressing affordable housing, transportation, economic development, and community revitalization. The group then traveled to Clarksville, where additional sessions highlighted educational alignment, military‑community planning, and long‑term workforce needs. Site visits—including the Clarksville Youth Academy and regional industrial assets—provided real‑world context to the day’s discussions.

The final day featured civic‑leadership conversations, including a fireside chat on public service and a panel examining the business of hospitality—an especially relevant topic for Savannah’s visitor economy. Coordinated on‑site logistics, including group transportation and scheduling support, helped ensure a seamless experience for attendees. The trip ultimately strengthened regional relationships and provided valuable insights applicable to Savannah’s continued growth in areas such as transportation, childcare, workforce development, and tourism management.

The LEADS Nashville Trip agenda featured a thoughtfully curated mix of panels, site visits, and leadership discussions designed to maximize learning and engagement throughout the three‑day experience.
