Visit Savannah Scores a Home Run with D.C. Meeting Planners at Inaugural Banana Bowl

Visit Savannah’s Larry Browder and Courtney Martin teamed up with hospitality partners Dawn Ryan of The Westin Savannah Harbor, Staci Stover of the Savannah Convention Center, and Julian Huerta of Signia by Hilton to host leading meeting planners from Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland at the inaugural Banana Bowl Championship at Nationals Park.

Fourteen planners and their guests enjoyed nonstop entertainment at the sold-out event, joining 40,000 fans for an unforgettable evening. The outing offered “Team Savannah” an opportunity to strengthen relationships with planners, including several considering Savannah for future citywide conventions.

Those prospective conventions represent 26,000 total hotel room nights and more than $9 million in potential economic impact for Savannah—making these connections valuable for hospitality businesses throughout Chatham County.

Our guests agreed: the night was a total home run!
