The mobile preventive home maintenance business marked the milestone with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Silas Park on Hutchinson Island, gathering alongside local community members and supporters. Delivering essential property care directly to clients’ doorsteps, HomeSmiles helps homeowners protect their investments through services including gutter cleaning, window washing, pressure washing, and dryer vent maintenance. Demonstrating a strong commitment to local families, the business also collected school supply donations during the event to support Chatham County Schools. Culture, Commerce, and Legacy: Coastal Gullah Geechee & Afro-Caribbean Chamber Celebrates Grand Opening

Savannah’s business community marked an inspiring milestone, as The Coastal Gullah Geechee & Afro-Caribbean Chamber of Commerce officially celebrated its grand opening. Gathered at the West Broad Bandshell at 514 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., community leaders and guests honored the occasion with an evening focused on culture, commerce, and community connection. The celebration featured live storytelling, traditional African dance, small business grant check presentations, and support for the SAFE Shelter. By bridging cultural heritage with economic empowerment, the new chamber is dedicated to uplifting local entrepreneurs and preserving regional legacy. The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates The Coastal Gullah Geechee & Afro-Caribbean Chamber of Commerce on its official launch and welcomes this valuable organization to Savannah’s vibrant business landscape.
