The Savannah Sports Council was proud to attend and support the unveiling of the new permanent home of the Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame at Enmarket Arena.

The event marked an important milestone for Savannah’s sports community, creating a lasting space to honor the athletes, coaches, and contributors whose achievements have helped shape the region’s rich athletic legacy. Speakers included Savannah Mayor Van Johnson, City Manager Jay Melder, Enmarket Arena General Manager Monty Jones, and Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame President Sammy Strode, who each helped commemorate the occasion.

The Savannah Sports Council is honored to support the Greater Savannah Athletic Hall of Fame and its continued work to celebrate excellence, preserve local sports history, and inspire future generations of athletes across the community.
