Chamber Celebrates Teachers During National Teacher Appreciation Week

This week is National Teacher Appreciation Week, and the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to remind educators that their work is the foundation of a strong and successful community.

To show appreciation on behalf of the business community, Chamber representatives Erica Backus and Jennifer Davenport attended a special luncheon for the teachers and staff at Otis J. Brock III Elementary School. The event celebrated the school’s 88 teachers and staff members with lunch, games, prizes, and a well-deserved moment of recognition.

The Chamber recognizes that great schools help build great communities. Teachers play a critical role in preparing the next generation of leaders, workers, entrepreneurs, and engaged citizens. Their dedication, patience, and commitment make a lasting impact not only on students and families but on the future strength of Savannah’s workforce and economy.

During National Teacher Appreciation Week, the Chamber extends its sincere thanks to educators across Chatham County for the meaningful work they do every day.
