During last week’s Savannah/Chatham Day activities in Atlanta, Visit Savannah President and CEO Joseph Marinelli met with the team at Explore Georgia, the state’s official tourism marketing organization, led by Deputy Commissioner of Economic Development Jay Markwalter.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration to attract more domestic and leisure travelers to Savannah and Coastal Georgia. Discussions included opportunities for joint marketing initiatives, participation in co-op programs at major travel industry trade shows, and coordinated promotional efforts tied to major upcoming milestones such as the FIFA World Cup and America’s 250th anniversary.

These continued partnerships at the state level help keep Savannah top-of-mind for visitors and position the destination to benefit from increased travel interest in the years ahead.
