Visit Savannah, Chamber, and Visit Tybee Launch AI Learning Initiative for Staff

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Visit Savannah, and Visit Tybee Island are taking intentional steps to strengthen their internal use of artificial intelligence by launching a new staff-focused learning initiative centered on practical training, shared knowledge, and ongoing research.

The organizations are kicking off a regular AI lunch-and-learn series designed to help team members better understand and apply emerging tools in their daily work. Sessions focus on real-world use cases, hands-on practice, and open discussion, with an emphasis on learning together as technology continues to evolve.

“Our goal is to make AI approachable and useful for our team,” said Lauren Cleland, Vice President of Strategic Marketing. “We’re focused on learning alongside each other and figuring out how these tools can genuinely support our work.”

In addition to structured training, the team encourages ongoing knowledge sharing and independent research across departments.

As the program develops, Visit Savannah remains committed to thoughtful, responsible adoption that prioritizes people, process, and practical impact.
