Please join New Oak Theatre on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 6 PM for a special networking reception and ribbon cutting at the Tybee Post Theater venue. Mix and mingle with fellow Chamber members and theater enthusiasts as we cut the ceremonial red ribbon in honor of opening our very first professional production with the intimate musical I Do! I Do! In partnership with the Tybee Post Theater, New Oak Theatre brings living, breathing theatre to Savannah that reflects our city’s spirit — rooted in tradition, growing with each new generation. I Do! I Do!, from the creators of The Fantasticks, follows a couple through fifty years of marriage — from wedding-day jitters to rediscovered love — a touching, musical journey of commitment and connection. Although we don’t yet have a permanent home, we are building toward one here in Savannah, with the long-term vision of creating a dinner theatre that combines great storytelling, community, and culinary experience. This opening night celebrates not just a show, but the partnerships, creativity, and vibrant local arts community that make New Oak Theatre possible. Together, we’re cultivating imagination, fostering connections, and laying the foundation for a lasting home for theatre in Savannah.
