Savannah Children’s Museum Unveils New Indoor STEAM Center
The Coastal Heritage Society celebrated a significant expansion for regional education with the grand opening of the new STEAM Center at Savannah Children’s Museum on Tuesday, Nov. 18. The center, located at 655 Louisville Rd., marks the museum’s first permanent indoor expansion. The new space debuted with “Numbers in Nature,” an interactive exhibit that highlights the essential intersection of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. This exciting addition ensures that families across the region will have access to year-round educational enrichment and hands-on learning experiences, regardless of the weather. The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates the Coastal Heritage Society on this valuable investment, which strengthens the educational foundation and resources available to children and families in the Lowcountry.

RaceTrac Opens 600th Store in Garden City
National convenience retailer RaceTrac celebrated a monumental milestone with the grand opening of its 600th store on Thursday, Nov. 20. Located at 1780 Dean Forest Rd. in Garden City, the travel center marked the occasion with a community celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new location, which adds approximately 40 new jobs to the community, is strategically positioned to serve professional drivers, commuters, and residents near the Port of Savannah. The festivities included a 600-gallon fuel giveaway, gift cards, and a donation to Savannah Feed the Hungry. The spacious center offers quality fuel, along with made-in-store food options and a coffee bar. The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce congratulates RaceTrac on reaching its 600th store, welcoming this significant investment and the expansion of services and jobs in Garden City.

Baker Tilly Celebrates New Brand, Familiar Faces

The ribbon cutting, held at 100 Riverview Dr., officially recognized the joining of Hancock Askew, a trusted Savannah accounting firm since 1910, with Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax, and assurance firm. The event celebrated the continuity of local expertise: while the name is new, the dedicated team remains the same. Coastal Table and Tales Opens Unique Culinary Hub Downtown
A unique concept blending cuisine and culture debuted in the Historic District last week as Coastal Table and Tales celebrated its official opening on Friday, Nov. 21. The ribbon cutting was held at the new venue, located at 408A Bull Street. Founded by Dawn Anderson, the establishment is Savannah’s first and only culinary bookstore and cooking workshop. More than just a retail space, it is a community hub that invites guests to explore global flavors through hands-on classes, cooking clubs, author talks, and culinary storytelling. The shop aims to celebrate food as a bridge between cultures, inspiring people to cook, share, and connect with Savannah’s vibrant culinary scene.
