This milestone marks the culmination of years of planning and collaboration to bring the project to life. It represents a significant step forward for event tourism in Savannah.

The SGCCA expressed appreciation to Governor Kemp, the Chatham County delegation, the Georgia State Finance & Investment Commission (GSFIC), the City of Savannah, and Chatham County for their partnership and support in achieving this goal.

SGCCA and Savannah Convention Center leadership joined together for the signing, including Chairman Mark Smith, Chamber President & CEO, and SGCCA Secretary Bert Brantley, Senior VP & General Manager Kelvin D. Moore, and VP & Assistant General Manager Al Rojas, along with attorneys Jon Pannell of Gray Pannell & Woodward LLP and Paul Threkel

The hotel is scheduled to open in the summer of 2028, with an official groundbreaking celebration planned for October 8.
