Attend the September 24 Senate Study Committee on Tourism Meeting in Savannah

Lt. Governor Burt Jones has appointed five Senators to the newly established Senate Study Committee on Making Georgia the No. 1 State for Tourism. The committee aims to identify opportunities to strengthen Georgia’s tourism industry and elevate the state as the nation’s top travel destination.

Senator Drew Echols (R–Gainesville) will chair the committee, which will be joined by Sens. Sonya Halpern (D–Atlanta), Sen. Frank Ginn (R–Danielsville), Sen. Russ Goodman (R–Cogdell), and Sen. Emanuel Jones (D–Decatur). This bipartisan committee will explore ways to promote tourism growth across all regions of Georgia, supporting jobs, economic development, and community vitality statewide.

Chamber members are encouraged to attend this important meeting, which will bring statewide leaders to Savannah to discuss tourism’s role in driving growth, jobs, and competitiveness across Georgia.
