Sand Cat Coffee Opens as New Community Hangout on Tybee
Tybee Island welcomed a new community gathering spot as Sand Cat Coffee celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, September 5th. Located at 602 1st Street, the event drew a large crowd, including the mayor of Tybee Island, city council members, and various community partners. The celebration was a hit, with free drip coffee for the entire day and special discounts on food and drinks. Sand Cat Coffee, in collaboration with Main Street Tybee Island, created a festive atmosphere for locals and visitors alike to enjoy delicious treats and a new island gem. After being purchased and reenvisioned by owner Marc Cohen as a place where Savannah’s high achievers and art patrons can train and find a refuge in the heart of the Historic District, FoB has been refreshed and its lobby transformed into a showcase for local artists to display their works. After being a staple of the downtown fitness scene for years, this much overdue refresh has resulted in a tremendous outpouring of support and growth and this is our way of providing a true community space for our members and guests to gather, train and form new bonds. We look forward to being a part of this community for years to come and hosting exhibits and other cultural events that bring a sense of creativity and excellence to our little area of southeast GA.
