Leadership Southeast Georgia (LSEGA) announced that the nomination process for the Class of 2026 is now underway. The organization seeks nominations of civic, nonprofit, and business leaders across the 10-county Southeast Georgia region to participate in the 2026 class. Applicants must submit their applications by August 23.

We’re looking for visionary leaders, innovative thinkers, and dedicated community builders—individuals who are not only successful in their fields but also deeply committed to the future prosperity and well-being of Southeast Georgia. Your nominations are crucial in ensuring we continue cultivating a dynamic regional leadership network.

Potential applicants may self-nominate or be nominated by Leadership Southeast Georgia alumni or other regional leaders. Leadership Southeast Georgia participants are selected through a competitive process conducted by the LSEGA Board of Directors members.

Letters of support may also be submitted about the individual being nominated or applying. Up to thirty (30) individuals will be chosen each year based on these criteria:

• Applicants – Must reside or work in the county to which they are applying.
• Commitment – Expresses a desire to contribute time and energy to serve the community.
• Growth – Demonstrates professional growth qualities, volunteerism, or a steward of leadership from previous or current involvement or identifies an area in which they seek to be involved.
• Interest – Expresses sincere interest in learning. Demonstrates broad interest and understanding of the Southeast Georgia area.
• Participation—Expresses the ability to contribute to a group process. Agrees to commit to all five sessions, participate in class projects, and other projects as assigned. Has the employer’s full support to participate.
• Teachability—This trait demonstrates motivation and commitment to serving the community. It also communicates openness and a willingness to learn new things.
• Follows Directions – Application submitted before/by the deadline.
