Savannah Chamber of Commerce to Host Military Appreciation Luncheon November 8

October 29, 2013 SAVANNAH, GA. -- The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce's Military Affairs Council will host its annual Military Appreciation Luncheon at noon, Friday, Nov. 8 at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto.

In his first address to the business community, keynote speaker Maj. Gen. John M. Murray, U.S. Army, commanding general of the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, will give an update on current military affairs. Members from each division of the armed forces and a civilian will be recognized for awards honoring their outstanding performance.

"The opportunity to honor our military, which is such a large part of the Savannah area, is one we look forward to all year," said Bill Hubbard, Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce president and CEO. "We are grateful to the armed forces for all they do for our country."

Admission for Chamber members is $40 per person or $400 for a table of 10. Admission for non-members is $50 per person or $500 for a table of 10. RSVP is required by Tuesday, Nov. 5.
