Business Heavyweights to Speak at 2012 Business Expo

October 11, 2012 SAVANNAH, GA -- In addition to meeting more than 90 local businesses face-to-face and learning about their products and services, attendees and exhibitors at the 2012 Business Expo will enjoy three seminars from two top national business experts.

Peter Yesawich, Vice Chairman of MMGY Global — MMGY Global is one of the largest and most integrated travel marketing firms in the world, and Vice Chairman Peter Yesawich is one of the most respected sources in the tourism industry on the habits and preferences of American travelers. He is a frequent commentator on market trends in publications such as The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Time, Newsweek and Business Week, and has been featured on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, BBC World and National Public Radio. He is also a recipient of many industry awards. Although he is a leader in the hospitality sector, his message of branding, communication, marketing and decision-making is applicable and beneficial to the health of any business. Yesawich will speak at 2:15 p.m., giving insight on the American customer broadly and in relation to tourism.

LeRoy Maughan is a professional speaker and mentor, and he joined the FranklinCovey team in 1993. FranklinCovey serves 90 percent of the Fortune 100 companies, more than 75 percent of the Fortune 500, thousands of small and mid-sized businesses, as well as numerous government entities and educational institutions. They have a mission to enable greatness in people and organizations everywhere, and Maughan will present “The Speed of Trust – Improving Customer Relationships” at 1:15 p.m. and “The 4 Disciplines of Execution” at 4:15 p.m. during the 2012 Business Expo.

Hosted by the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, the Savannah Morning News and other sponsors, the 2012 Business Expo will be at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center October 25 from noon – 5 p.m., and the Awards Banquet and Dinner will follow at 7 p.m., where the Chamber will recognize outstanding members in hospitality, manufacturing, small business and more.

Tickets for entry into the expo and the education portion from noon to 5 p.m. are $5 for Chamber members and $10 for non-members. There will be a networking function at no charge from 5 – 7 p.m. Admission to the Annual Awards Banquet and Dinner is $40 per person or $400 for a table of 10. Reservations for the Awards Banquet and Dinner are required.
