June 22, 2012 SAVANNAH, GA -- When so much of our lives are integrated into networks, servers and digital records, the threat of cyber warfare is real and potentially catastrophic.

Join us for the Cyber Security Breakfast, July 18, at 8 a.m. at the Savannah Golf Club, where these threats will be explained, as well as strategies that businesses, agencies and other entities that are dependent on and work intimately with technology can do to hedge against these threats and protect important information.

The speaker for this event is Kevin G. Coleman, Kellogg Executive Scholar, Senior Fellow with the Technolytics Institute. Coleman is one of the premier strategic thinkers in unconventional warfare, risk management and security issues found anywhere in the world today. Some issues Coleman will address are: the importance of cyber security as a shared responsibility for all federal and governmental levels, as well as businesses and citizens; the role of the Department of Homeland Security in securing the nation’s cyber assets; and the ongoing collaborative efforts available to secure cyberspace within the National Cyber Security Division.

This event is sponsored by Technology Associated of Georgia, the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce and CEMA (Chatham Emergency Management Agency). The breakfast is $25 for Chamber members and $40 for nonmembers. Reservations are required. For more information or to reserve a seat, contact Margaret Mary Russell at or call her at 912.644.6432.
