About

The Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite of Savannah is a Masonic organization that continues a Master Mason's education after he completes the first three degrees. The Scottish Rite is one of the oldest and largest Masonic organizations in the world, with over 2 million members worldwide.

The Savannah Valley of the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite was founded in 1802, making it one of the oldest Scottish Rite Valleys in the United States. The Valley is located in the historic Chatham Center building in Midtown Savannah.

The Scottish Rite offers a series of 33 degrees that are designed to teach members about the principles of morality, philosophy, and religion. The degrees are conferred in four bodies: the Lodge of Perfection, the Chapter of Rose Croix, the Council of Kadosh, and the Consistory.

The Valley hosts a variety of events and programs throughout the year, including educational lectures, charitable fundraisers, and social gatherings.

The building is replete with Masonic symbolism and artifacts that have been meticulously preserved. Visitors can explore the ornate rooms, adorned with stunning stained-glass windows, intricate woodwork, and Masonic regalia. As you walk through the various chambers, you'll gain insights into the history and traditions of this secret society.
