Founded in 1897, Piedmont College is a comprehensive liberal arts institution offering a variety of career-oriented majors. Currently ranked by U.S. News and World Report as fourth among Georgia’s regional universities, Piedmont was recently selected by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation in Princeton, N.J., as one of five Georgia colleges to participate in a program designed to help attract the nation's very best science, technology, engineering and math candidates to the teaching profession.Piedmont graduate programs include a Master of Arts in Business (MBA) from the Harry W. Walker School of Business. In the School of Education, graduate programs at both the initial (MAT) and advanced (MA) certification levels include programs in Early Childhood, Middle Grades and Secondary Education; Special Education; Music Education; and Art Education. The college offers MA programs in Instructional Technology, with separate tracks for teachers seeking advanced certification and for non-teachers. Piedmont also offers both Education Specialist (EDS) and Doctor of Education (EDD) degrees in Curriculum and Instruction.
