Overview of Position:
The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce seeks a highly motivated, technically savvy, trustworthy, organized and creative team player to assist the Membership business unit with general member servicing throughout the year, including planning and assisting networking events that will lead to increased membership acquisition, engagement and retention.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Support ribbon cutting and groundbreaking event scheduling, communication, and execution
• Manage member accounts in the CRM database
• Assist in processing new membership communication through the member database and serve as a welcoming liaison
• Maintain chamber website calendars and invitation distribution
• Assist the Membership Relations Manager in processing monthly member dues invoices and serve as an additional assistant in member retention
• Prepare thank you notes for new members
• Assist the Small Business & Events Manager to execute networking events, business connections and special programs
• Lead/coordinate the Business on the Move Small Business networking events – 6xs per year
• Review Savannah Insiders Guide, Tybee Insiders Guide, and Relocation Guide member listings and changes
• Manage office supplies, stationary items, and general phone calls for department
Requirements:
• Understanding of the CRM software, but also of sales, marketing, and business processes
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience coordinating Outlook Calendars
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines
• Organized, detail-oriented and proactive
• Excellent communications skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Three years’ experience in related field
• Flexible working hours to include occasional nights and weekends
