Position: Visit Tybee Digital Content Coordinator
Reports To: Digital Content Strategist, Visit Savannah & Visit Tybee Director

Overview of Position:

Monday – Thursday in the office; every other Friday off to allow for rotating weekend community management duties (duties shared with Visit Savannah Digital Content Coordinator)

Content Duties

  • Create editorial, photo and video content for VisitTybee.com
  • Create sponsored editorial for VisitTybee.com
  • Copy edit freelance editorial content as needed
  • Stage, style, photograph and edit photos
  • Create and implement editorial calendar with Digital Content team
  • Establish and maintain brand voice and tone in all communications
  •  Implement SEO best practices as determined by SEO vendor

Social Media Duties

  • Deploy social media strategy as directed by the Digital Content Strategist
  • Create social content for Visit Tybee
  • Develop, write and schedule content for all social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat and YouTube
  • Build, maintain and nurture strong social media communities
  • Source and secure approval of user-generated content for use in social channels
  • Execute social media campaigns, including contests, sweepstakes, and more
  • Understand Visit Tybee’s goals and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Coordinate with social media influencers to enhance social media reach
  • Pull monthly analytics for social channels
  • Present monthly updates to the Board of Directors
  • Position requires time out of office attending events, experiencing the Tybee Island product, etc.
  • Must create and retain meaningful relationships with Tybee Island partners
  • Stay abreast of social media, content and digital marketing trends

CRM Duties

  • Track all member social media and/or content mentions in Customer Relation Management (CRM) software
  • Pull member mention reports for team members as needed


  • 1-3 years of experience in content creation and social media
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or other related field
  • Experience working with CMS programs (ex: Wordpress, Drupal, etc).
  • Proficient in social media marketing tools
  • Experience creating social media reports
  • Preferred experience with CRM database
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented and proactive
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working independently
  • Flexible working hours including some nights and weekends
  • Reliable transportation at all times
