Ambassadors Council – To provide members the opportunity to serve as liaisons between new members and the Chamber. The aim is to have a total of 40 Ambassadors who are actively attending meetings, various Chamber functions, calling on new members and assisting with retention.

Convention & Visitors Bureau – The Savannah Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is responsible for improving the profitability of our members directly and indirectly affected by tourism. The CVB serves as the destination marketing organization for the Savannah area. We also provide the vehicle for individual businesses to market their operations and services to visitors. The CVB improves our area economy and enhances the image of Savannah as a destination to increase overnight visitor expenditures.

Education & Workforce Development Council – To develop world-class employees for your business. Education/Workforce Development is a Chamber top priority in response to our members’ need and desire for a better-trained, more competitive workforce. Our goals include workers in three categories:
•Emerging – pre-kindergarten through college
•Transitional – adults/youth not in formal education but not working consistently
•urrent – current workforce plus underemployed (need to increase skill levels)

Greater Savannah Sports Council – The Greater Savannah Sports Council is committed to developing sports related events with local, regional, national, and international organizations. The GSSC supports a wide arrange of events that offer a diverse opportunity to athletes of all ages and all sports; creating increased economic impact to the City of Savannah, Chatham County and other surrounding communities.

Manufacturers & Distributors Council – To monitor issues of importance to those companies having the largest economic impact on our area. Manufacturers do $1.8 billion of business in our area! This council ensures that their interests are being protected and this segment of the community is recognized for the impact it has. This Council is the single forum where all member manufacturers and other supportive interests can receive a hearing and a response to their issues. The Council provides members with relevant information, advocacy and networking opportunities that assist them in maintaining the growth of their operations in the Savannah area.
