Military Affairs
One of the Chambers top priorities is to preserve and enhance the military value in this community. With the help of the Military Affairs Council and community leadership, the Chamber has been able to accomplish this and encourage and strengthen community awareness and involvement. The Military Affairs Council meets periodically at the call of the Chair and focuses on issues such as quality of life for our troops and families, community support and strengthening the military’s presence.
One program that we kicked off in 2007 is the Blue Star program which is an initiative to support spouses and their families of deployed soldiers. For more information, please go to the Blue Star website.
