Minority Membership Grant Program
Grant Program of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors
In an effort to continue with the goal of growing the number of minority businesses and increase their participation in the Chamber, the board of directors implemented a grant program to off-set make it easier to join the Chamber.
A minority-owned new member will receive a grant on behalf of the Chamber board which will provide the minority-owned business with two years of Chamber membership for the price of one year’s membership dues.
For example, if the business’ standard annual dues (according to the Fair Share Dues Formula) are $295, the minority-owned business will pay 50% - or $147.50 - in the first year and the remaining balance ($147.50) the following year. The Chamber board grant will supplement the difference over the two year period. The business will also be responsible for the one-time $25.00 administrative fee when they join.
After the two year period grant period is concluded the member will receive an invoice 30 days prior to the anniversary due date. The invoice at that time will reflect the standard membership dues reflected in the Fair Share Dues Formula. This grant opportunity may not be used in addition to other promotions, or by current members.
