Governmental Affairs Council
Over 200 members of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce make up our Governmental Affairs Council. The council meets at least six times a year to review local, state and federal legislative issues. All meetings are called by the Chair. When creating policy, or legislative agendas, the council makes its recommendations to the Chamber’s Executive Committee and then these matters go to the Chamber’s Board of Directors for a vote. The membership assists by individually working behind the scenes to make sure the Chamber’s legislative priorities become enacted.
