Advocacy, Involvement and Education

The business community needs the unified voice the Chamber provides. Savannah-Chatham has a place at the table, and if we don’t speak up, other regions will split our piece of the pie. The Governmental Affairs Committee leads delegations annually to Washington, D.C. and Atlanta and holds candidate forums.

  • The Chamber is an advocate for business, aggressively working for pro-business legislation by maintaining a presence from City Hall to Atlanta to the nation’s capital in Washington, D.C.
  • The Chamber works to improve the business climate by taking a stand on issues such as water, public safety, highways and other infrastructure issues affecting the business community.
  • The Chamber has a full-time staff person who keeps in constant communication with military leaders and elected representatives to retain and expand the Savannah area’s military presence.

The Small Business Council provides monthly seminars on topics like wellness in the workplace, insurance, bill collection, marketing and more. In addition, the Chamber provides educational programs via several monthly luncheon topics and events.
