Bill Shira is Vice President, Marketing & Sales Support, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, located in Savannah, Georgia.
As VP, Marketing & Sales Support, Bill is responsible for leading a team that provides comprehensive worldwide marketing, technical sales support, and strategic planning to the company.
Prior to his current assignment, Bill served as Vice President, Sales Information and as Director of Sales Engineering & Technical Marketing, where he was responsible for technical sales support and competitive research.
Before moving to Sales & Marketing, Bill served in functional Engineering for 19 years at Gulfstream and Boeing as Director Flight Sciences, Manager Flight Sciences, Section Head Aerodynamics, Lead Engineer Applied Aerodynamics and Aerodynamics Engineer.
Bill graduated from Mississippi State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is a licensed commercial pilot and flight instructor.
He currently serves on the Management Technical Committee for the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics and is Gulfstream’s representative on the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce and Mighty 8th Air Force Museum Boards. He is also heavily involved in Gulfstream’s Management Development Program and serves on its Leadership Development advisory committee.
Bill is married to Anne and has two daughters and three grandchildren.
